Kirstin White paints watercolours rapidly and on-the-spot. Consequently, she is often commissioned to paint pictures at wedding receptions and other events such as parties, music festivals, fetes, fairs and shows.
As a watercolourist, during the height of the summer, accompanied by her spotty dog, Kirstin travels the UK painting. She works in watercolour and frequently includes additional drawing media in her pictures.
Moreover, Kirstin White is an enthusiastic and experienced tutor who enjoys passing on her knowledge. Having, herself, trained at Salisbury College of Art between 1979 – 1982, she now teaches regularly in Dummer, in Hamble and in Winchester. On the one hand, she offers tuition in watercolour painting. On the other, she leads life drawing classes. Interestingly, lessons in painting and drawing tuition are also sometimes available on a one to one basis. Kirstin is an experienced tutor, running life drawing sessions with students at both Barton Peveril College in Eastleigh and at the University of Southampton.
In addition to the regular weekly classes that she is able to offer, Kirstin can also be booked for demonstrations to Art Societies, for one day workshops and for outdoor painting sessions.
Kirstin lives near Southampton,on the south coast of England and has a studio in Dummer, near Basingstoke. She enjoys sailing and therefore, when practical, paints watercolours while afloat on the water. Other hobbies include working her allotment where she grows tulips, dahlias and a wide variety of organic vegetables. She has two adult children.
